not a tranny recall ... but an extended service thingy till 100K ... honda won't even look at the car until you see the "D4" light flash

i've never had tranny work done on my 00 AV6 yet ... but i've complained because it's starting to go. the honda tech said they can't look at it for free because the D4 hasn't tripped off yet

if you register your car at https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp (Honda OwnerLink) you can get recall info that applies to you

That sucks, I would be like hey my D4 flashed the other day, lol... I would make something up or else break that mofo myself to make it light... How lame that they wont even look at it...

maybe you should consider another Dealorship. I look at least 3 transmitions a day and most of them are complaining of shift problems or hesitations shit like that probably only 40 % of the trans complaints are check engine lites and those are the customers who really don't even complain of a trans problem. Basically I think Honda screwed up by sending out those damn extension notice's by wording them the way they did they should have just said that the transmitions have been extended if you experiance any problems go to the dealer, now everyone who never really noticed how there trans shifted before all of a sudden is paying attention and thinks its bad.
