Default Re-Keying Locks & Ignition

I Lost one of the keys to my car and I was wondering if anyone has ever re-keyed the locks and ignition on their car? How much did it cost you and where did you go?

I thought about that. I Just don't want my car to dissappear one night. I'm not sure where I dropped the key. I was on my bike last night and had the key in my pocket. I have another key but I just don't want to worry about my car getting stolen.

the odds are to great that it will happen...i mean, how many civics are out there...nobody will care, if i found it, i would through it away, has no use...what would someone do, go to all the millions of civics around town inserting the key. highly doubt it.

Don't worry about it, especially in a town like Las Vegas. Too many damn people/civics.

you can rekey the ignition and keyholes for the door. i rekeyed mines to the same spec from my bros civic. now we both use the same key for each others car, 1 less key to carry around.

That's an interesting idea. I could have rekeyed my hatch to the same key as my sedan
