Default Constant grind of 2nd

Everytime i go to shift into 2nd that SOB grinds (when driving normal and racing). Could it have anything to do with my short shifter or clutch or tranny?

Could be anything. When you installed the short shifter, did you replace the bushings underneath the car with aftermarket ones? If not I would start with that first. I know the Neuspeed ones are made from polyurethane and should only run you $10-20 bucks max. They make a big difference in shifting, especially if the old OEM bushings are damaged or warped.

short wouldnt cause it to grind,....there could be 2 things wrong with your car,....either you need some tranny fluid,....or your 2nd gear syncro is done,....you can try to flush and fill the tranny (with Honda MTF) but im thinking its your 2nd gear syncro that is bad

well you can replace the syncros but most of the time it would be cheaper to find another tranny,...alot of tranny shops will try to dick you around saying shit like,.."oh well your soand so syncro is going out too so you will need to replace that" and even if you have them check it out to see if it is your syncro your still paying some money for bench time,...which is them taking your tranny out and then opening it up,...and then putting it back together and back in the car
