Default Height of your car

I just got a ticket for my car being too low...My car is lowered 1.8 in the front and 1.5 in the back. Does anyone know how cops are suppost to measure the height of your car and how many inches your car is suppost to be off teh ground? thanks

I think that the center of your headlights have to be at least 22" off the ground (I don't remember if it was either 20, 22, or 24).

Also, the lowest part of your car (either side skirt, mud flap, whatever) cannot be lower than the bottom edge of your wheels. (Hint: the bigger the wheel, the better).

pretty much anything below stock is not legal. especially on our cars (because they're so low already).

So what if you just dump the back of the car real low. Wouldn't that in turn "raise" the front of the car, thus making it at the legal height. :chuckles:

i suppose technically. as long as you don't dump the back too low to where something is below your rim. :dunno: that would be pretty gross though.

When I was beginning to mod my car, I had a cop told me that my mudguards were too low for my 13" wheels, so he told me to get bigger rims (at that time, he didn't measure my headlights) :chuckles:
