Default Chalk up another win for the Civic Si :)

This past weekend I ran with the Brandywine Motorsports Club at the Glasgow High School in Newark, DE. As soon as we got there it started raining on and off. Track was wet with a few puddles here and there.

About 50-60 cars showed up ranging from a few new Mitsubishi Evolutions, few WRXs, Porsche 911 twin turbo AWD, CRX, two Integra GSRs, Nissan 350Z, and a BMW 318i with a M3 swap and supercharged.

The course went off to the right immediately after the start. Through two offset gates into a really tight circle turn (going counterclockwise). Once out of the circle you went to the right towards a u-turn gate, which lead into a 90 degree left hand turn. Into 2 big sweepers, and into a circle again but much larger diameter (going counter clockwise). Out of the same gate you entered the circle and take a slight right into a 3 cone slalom. Into a u-turn going to the right through 3 offset gates and into a 90 degree left hand turn towards the finish line.

I was in run group 2 and 4. My first time out it started drizzling, but it wouldn't make a difference since everyone was running in the wet. So I ran some conservative air pressure settings, but still had the shocks turned up 1 turn front full turns rear.

Car was pretty balanced and I took my first run pretty slow (what I thought was slow). Came across the finish line with FTD already by about 2-3 seconds with a 52.xxx next fastest time was the Porsche 911 with a 54.xxx

My 2nd run I shaved off another second with a 51.3. I worked the 3rd heat and then we had two more runs in the 4th.

On my 3rd run I biased the pressures by 1lb and went out. Car was TOO Loose!! Got sideways a couple of times, and at the finish line I took out the timing light reflector BAM! Left a nice scratch on my pasenger side. Found out that time would have been a 50.5 but since I took out the timer it was a DQ

Last run out I brought the rear pressures down 1lb and just gave it all I had. Came across the line with a 51.1 WOOT! Beat the Evos, WRXs, and all others Major fun in the rain!
