01 Acura TL Keyless Entry Install
I just purchased a 01 Acura TL and it did not come with either an owner's manual and/or a keyless entry controller. I purchased one from ebay, but the seller did not know who to program it.
So, does anyone know how to program the controller to work with my car? Does this controller also activates/deactivates the alarm (or is there an alarm? I see the security light on the drivers door). Thanks for any help you can provide.

My guess would be to take it to the dealer to have it programmed, was the car originally equipped with keyless entry? if it wasnt then there prolly isnt a reciever unit in the car....Goodluck!

your car does have a security system... the remote will arm/disarm it...
to see its reaction to a break-in... sit in the car, lock the doors (either with the key in the door, the lock button inside or the remote) wait 15 seconds and unlock and open a door, pop the trunk or open the hood.
