Funny Idle... Help..
I've just replaced my ECU and notice that the Idle speed kinda moves. I left the car running and then notice that the idle went from 500 to about 900 and then back to 500. It happens every 3-5 mins. I didn't really take notice to this before the ECU incident. So was mine damge in anyway or reseted improperly?
Any insight, help or suggestion would be great.
thanks,
Mike

I have a funny idle too. If I let my car sit for several minutes the idle every now and then will go up for a sec and then go back to normal. I don't think it is anything to worry about, unless your car starts to stall I wouldn't worry about it.

its normal for the idle to jump about 200 RPMs....if its continuous, after warm-up...its your Idle Air Control valve. Notorious on Honda's for going on the fritz.

I'm kinda puzzled about this too... I figured it would be something like a dieing O2 sensor, but then the ECU reports a code 43 that adds to the puzzle!
code 43 = Defective or malfunctioning Fuel Supply System

Sorry for the lack of info, Its a 95 Integra LS, My ECU was stolen and some how recovered/replaced (long story) Anyway I just notice this after the ECU was re-installed.
I'm idle at about 500 and then kinda jumps to 900 for a few seconds and then back 500. The part Number is 37820P75A01 so a P75, which should be the correct ECU. I've plugged it in and let the car idle to warms up, then reseted it again so the ECU can "learn" at operating temperatures. the following day was double parked waiting for girlfriend it saw it happened. The first time, I thought I hit the throttle by accident but It happened again.
So thats the whole story
Any Info would be great,
Thanks,
Mike
