Default from black to gunmetal ... my new headlights

i had aftermarket blackhoused headlights on my accord, and they were really bad. the beam pattern coming from my hids were shattered and broken, the mounting and fit of the housings was poor, and the passenger side housing was starting to warp.

BEFORE:

so i decided to be a man about it and blackhouse my stock headlights that were sitting in the basement. instead of using the typical black for them, i went and picked up 2 cans of DupliColor's Gunmetal spray. it took about 30 min for me to seperate each housing using the oven method. (set at 200 degrees, when preheated, turn off and insert housing for 4 min) i tried to mask off some areas of the housing to get a different effect, but when i'd try to release the painters tape, it would rip up the chrome with it ... so i ended up painting the entire housing trim. i also left in the orange strip because it just looked so damn cool.

what do ya think?!

I like the color, but I would have taken out the amber.

:slap: Thanks Andrew for making my decision harder to either keep the amber in or not when I have time to DIY my other pair of OEM headlights.
