Default DIY ground system

here are the old wires:

i ended up having to cut the connector of one end of the oem ground wires so yeah:

here's the ground wire on the right side from the engine mount to the ground:

and here's the old wire and new wire in comparison (old = small scrawny single stranded/new = larger very tightly woven strands):

right side engine mount/mounting points are circled:

wires on right side:

neg terminal battery cables replaced:

couldn't find mounting place for the dist cap or the alternator... I'm thinking the alternator would be the best place possible to mount. when i get my new valve cover in, i'll look more into mounting different locations etc. as of now i have - new batt cables running to chassis and tranny - engine mount to chassis and intake manifold to chassis.

Nice pics....have you notice any difference? Like at idle or anything? And if you had more points you replaced or added other then the ones shown.

yeah, the old wires are some grungy lookin' sons a bytches aren't they? I plan on upgrading mine too, it'll make the engine bay look so much better. So besides making under the hood look better, notice any other affects by doing what you did?

Did you have to find new mounting points or did you use the ones already there? Did you buy a kit or did you go the Home Depot route? Was it fairly easy even for a newb?
