Default 1999 Accord LX, DC header question

I wanted to get the DC sports 4-2-1 ceramic headers for my LX, however on the web site for the reseller it stated that the 98-99 DC header will not fit the LX/SE Accord with the 3 bolt converter flange. Do they mean the catalytic converter flange? I looked up the Honda parts listing and all the 4 cyl 99 models use a 3 bolt converter flange. Has any one installed this on their LX? If so, any problems? Thanks.

Well, when I bought my accord DC sport header. The DX and LX would not fit my EX so I bought the EX header. All I know is the 5th gen EX header already has the 4-2-1 design and the DX and LX dont. So maybe that goes for all the accords. unno:

The odd thing is that on the DC sports website they list the headers #HHC5018 (the one for the 98-99 4cyl Accord) as just that .... for the 98-99 Accord 4cyl. All the other headers are specified as for the 9x Accord EX.. 9x Civic SI.. ect. There is no specification as to model. I did not have any concerns until I went to order it and saw the warning. I sent an email to the DC sports Techs, but they have not answered....

I thought the 98-02 LX, SE, and EX 4cyl were exactly the same?

Only the DX had the non-vtec SULEV 135hp I4.

There is a ULEV 148hp version of the LEV 150hp VTEC I4, but it's the same when it comes to all aftermarket parts.

i've HEARD that the EX has a stock 4/2/1 while the LX and co. have a 4/1... i've never worked on an EX but on the two LXs I've worked on (mine and pmpinaznboi) we had no problem installing the 4/2/1

so my 6th gen I4 LX has a stock 4-1 header and EX stock header is different? I thought the 6th gen LX I4 is the exact same engine as the 6th gen EX I4.

Does it look like this guy's 6th gen LX I4? :
