1999 3.2 tl auto to manual swap ?'s
ok i need to know what parts are needed to do this swap. what cars can i source the tranny from, etc...
what parts other than
tranny
flywheel
clutch master cyl
slave cyl
shifter
boot
different ecu (i'm just guessing here)
would i neeed different half-shafts?
my friend and i will be doing this for another friend from work who has a 1999 3.2 tl. he doesn't seem to know much but claims that a tranny from a late model tl type s or cl type s will bolt up. they're 6 speed, right.
my friend and i both own 1990 nissan 240sx's and have done everything imaginable toi them. matter of fact we just finished an auto to manual swap for a kid on our forums. problem is we've never really worked on fwd cars and don't know much about hondas. 240s or rx7s are no problem.
if possible, could anyone here at least direct me to a parts fiche online for a 99 tl?
any help is appreciated.

I believe TL Type S is automatic/sportshift only. The CL Type S on the other hand does come with an optional 6speed manual. It definately sounds like an interesting idea tho...manual TL. ahhh nice.

I believe you are looking at a 2003 CL-S...I am not sure if the 2002 CL-S had the 6spd manual option. The tranny is probably pretty rare and finding one used would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. You may need to order one directly from Acura. As for your list it sounds pretty good...but you are probably going to also need the pedals from a CL-S w/. 6sp manual.

The F23 transmission wouldn't even fit onto the J32. :slap:
Another possibility though is to look for a '03 Accord 6-speed manual tranny as well. That might work.
