The long-awaited Honda Fit hybrid will finally make its world debut next month at the Paris Motor Show. The electrically assisted Fit (sold as Jazz in Europe) gets the same 1.3-liter inline-four, CVT and IMA mild hybrid combination that "powers" the Insight. Despite the taller profile of the Fit, Honda claims it will get comparable fuel economy to the smaller car.In hybrid form, the Fit gets a revised front fascia with new headlamps and a different grille. Inside, the dashboard gets a darker monochrome look and probably a new gauge cluster. The last time we spoke with Honda representatives, they confirmed that there are no plans to offer the Fit hybrid in North America. This is a shame, as we'd rather see Honda dump the Insight here and bring us a Fit hybrid instead.
