AEM, generic... they're all the same. all depends on if you want to drop all that loot for a name.

Filter's not the same.

I just bought my AEM CAI, only the best will do for my car, even if it is just the best NAME. It'll be here next week.

Still one disadvantage of cold air is it'll suck water when it rains or when u run over a puddle of water...........which sucks otherwise I would get that for my car too..................sob..........

If your worried about the hydro lock thing, you could always get the dreaded bypass valve that robs you of a couple horses. I've got the valve but I want it for piece of mine, I have crapy weather in New England.

I decided to not use one on my car... I know of tons of ppl that don't have one and it rains near them much more than where I live and they are just fine. Just don't do stupid things and you will do fine.... avoid big puddles, etc.

or you could buy my short ram. According to all the studies I've seen only between 3500-4000rpm is there any advantage to a cold air intake, and if you add a heatshield to the intake, all the advantages are lost.
