Our TL has crossed 93k miles, My wife called me while she was coming home from work and mentioned the VSA light as well as the engine check light came on.

She pulled over and stopped the car. On restarting the car, the VSA light went off, but the engine check light remained on. This evening I took car for a drive and the engine check light is continuously on. We had the same problem a day or so back but the next day no VSA or engine check light.
Any thoughts before I take it to a shop?

If you're in a climate change, the over sensitive sensors may be tripping off.

CEL's just don't vanish though, I'd take it in.

those codes needs to be pulled up. so next time it shows up, bring it to a shop to get it scanned
