my gf's 91 honda accord lx is acting up weird. when starting the car, right when it's turned on, it revs from 1k rpm to 3k rpm and back to 1k rpms by itself. It's like the engine has a mind of its own. When driving and coming to a stop light, I brake, but when I release it moves by itself like if I had stepped on the pedal. It goes by itself. She almost got into an accident this way. She also got pulled over by the police for passing the white line on a red light. She brakes, but the car pulls her forward.

They took it to a shop but they couldn't figure it out. We bought 200 dollars worth of parts and it still has the same problem.

What can this be? Any recommendations for good shops around the 626 area?
