World's Greenest Cheerleader: ASIMO roots on drivers at Honda's Green Car Challe

Even Honda's little humanoid robot ASIMO cares about saving the environment and conserving fuel. To show support for going green, ASIMO was on hand at Honda's Green Car Challenge in Romania to wave the flag at the start/finish line, cheering on competitors throughout the event and handing out awards when it was all over. Too bad ASIMO didn't drive one of the challenge cars.
The three-day Green Car Challenge pitted 18 finalists against each other in a 300-mile event. Walking away with an award required an exercise in conserving fuel, as the goal of the event is to cover the entire distance while using as little gas as possible and finishing in the shortest amount of time - not an easy feat if you ask us. Honda supplied vehicles for the event, including the Honda Jazz 1.4, Insight Hybrid and Accord 2.2-liter i-DTEC. Three winners walked away with awards, one in each vehicle class, but it's ASIMO who stole the show by consuming no fuel while exhaustively cheering on the competition.
