Default Question on 2002 accord tranny

I've had my accord for about a year now, and have taken it in during the required times for scheduled maintenance. But it seems to be doing a lot of gear hunting and isn't shifting smoothly. Anything I can do to remedy this problem?

I believe the oil the dealership is using is valvoline and where I live is pretty damn hot (about 110 degrees during the summer).

Thanks in advance.

Have you brought this issue up with the dealer? Any issues with the transmission are still under warranty, and they should take care of that for you. They also should only be using HONDA ATF. How many miles do you have on the car now? If it's over 15K then you need to change the fluid. If it's already been done, then ask the repair facility if they used genuine HONDA ATF, and the correct amount too. Should be 3 quarts.

same prob happen to my 99. it took like 2 secs to find 4th gear so i just took it in 2 get looked at and they noticed a 4 sec slipup.
good thing i had a extended warrenty. i had 45k miles on it.

will take it in to the dealer to see what they say.
It's got a little over 19K and as far as I know they put in Honda ATF. At least that's what the service report says. Thanks for the info and I'll see what's up with this with the dealer.
