since im going to turbo the ls motor, i was thinking that i should up the displacement. Are there strokers kits for the b18b? And i heard some where that you can just resleeve and get 2 L. I dont know much about relseelving, so can someone enlighten me and about upping the b18b to 2.0L. thanks:usa:

I know of turbo ls's that make 280whp on 12 psi. They have stock internals, just very good hondata tuning. Also you need to read up more on turbo hondas because you dont have an intake.

It would be easier and cheaper to get a b20.

The "intake" you see coming off the actually turbo, is just to protect the turbine.

Cheaper to get a b20, yes. However lots of people are having cracked sleeve problems under boost with a stock B20.

^ Exactly.
The B18's, and I believe all b20's are open-deck construction; the cylinder bores aren't held captive at the head mating surface by the block, and can lead to the cylinder walls cracking under more than 8lbs of boost.. The way to fix this is with either new cylinder bores (called sleeves) or with a brace that it is precisely machined and welded to "close off" the top of the block, reinforcing the cylinder bores.

Darton makes a set of steel sleeves that increase the bore (I don't remember the exact measurements) to get just under 2100cc on the stock crank throw. If you were to combine these sleeves with forged pistons, forged connecting rods and quality piston rings, you'd have a very good "margin of safety" running about 12 lbs of boost, I'd say.

The only question I had when considering building my LS up to the same level was justifying the expense for a FWD vehicle, when AWD or RWD is more in line with my preferences....

Just my 2˘.... hope I helped.
