With the old "Kent" engines nearing extinction, Honda has stepped up to provide its L15A7 engine (Honda Fit) as its official replacement. The 1.5L fuel injected design produces equivalent power, while providing lower operating costs and improved availability. Additionally, the Fit motor is at the beginning of its production generation, which means a minimum of ten years worth of available replacement parts. Engine conversion kit delivery begins in February 2010, and HPD production manager Marc Sours is excited.
