Hey...whats the best way to remove my stock trunk badges?
I have a 92 GS-R with pitted "Acura" and "Integra"badges that I want to remove, and stick on a lone "Acura" red trunk emplemn in
the rear center. (Red emblemn on a white car.)
I was thinking of jimmying/prying them off with a screw driver, but I want to do as little damage to the paint as possible. Any suggestions?

use some thin rope. shimmy it in between the paint and the emblem, then work your way through. afterwards, use alittle gas to get the left over glue off the car. then wax and buff to a beautiful shine.

heat it up first, it is held on with glue, use a hairdryer then use floss to remove it by sliding it between the emblem and trunk, btw: there will be 2 holes behind the emblem.

how would you go about patching those little holes?

Thanks for the input. Rope and heat are good ideas! I guess I'll have to fill the holes and paint 'em. Anyone interested in two silver (pitted) Acura Integra emblemns?

The hard way is to sand the area down. Fill with bondo. Sand, Prime, Paint, Clear, work, work, work.

Easy way: Silicone caulk if you have a basic color (if you can find a silicone caulk to match your color)

or

latex caulk and then paint w/ nail polish(color matched to your car)

Prep the area first with some paint thinner and then apply caulk. Very easy.

You do want to fill the holes no matter what option you choose.

i rather leave the holes or even the emblems than try to patch the holes myself.. itll look harsh bunk...

What I did was the bondo method. I then sanded and painted over the holes with "Acura" touch up paint. You can't really see the work unless you are right up on it. Next time I'll do the "caulk" method. I thought about using my white window caulk, but I went with bondo. The caulk probably would have looked a little better. Why the heck did they put HOLES behind those pitted badges?
