Default tail light led replace prob

Ok... so I am working on getting my bulbs replaced with LED's. I have the codes for the proper bulbes and I have replaced the main brake light with LED.

I have a 96 Prelude S, listed as stock it's like this...
brake light: 3496
rear turn signal: 3497
backup light: 1156

I've replaced the 3496 with 1157 bulbs, they work fine. I replaced the 3497 bulb with a 1156A (amber) bulb, works fine.

Ok, so I bought some 1157 LED bulbs. Put em in and turn my lights on... nothing. Apply the brake and they work ok.

I've tried to compare the base of the 1157 LED bulb and the 1157 regular bulb, I can't see much of any diffrence. I assume it's making contact, but I'm not 100% sure. Does anyone have any suggestions on why the LED bulbs aren't working?

I have the whole bulb assembly that you put the bulbs into and then put into the tail light of the car, here. Suggestions?
