It should. I fitted it to my D16Y7. Apparantly the 96-00 Civics can ALL accept the d16y8 oil pan, but the older D-series blocks may not because the oil sump hits or something. Now whether or not you can use the oil sump pickup on a 92-95 civic D series block to fit a 96-00 oil pan (like the y8's aluminum one), I do not know. I am almost 100% certain, checking my book it appears that the bolt pattern is identical as are the nuts and bolts and nothing will hit, but I would check with an expert. My engine expert says yes but I cannot give you a picture or anything. The D16y8 oil pan DOES work on a D16y7 block because I ran it on my car for over a year.

All D16 oilpans are interchangeable, but you need to make sure you have the proper oil pickup to go with the pan, consider them a set.
