met this chick a few weeks back through a mutual friend. we're all hanging out with some of my other friends and she seems to hit it off with one of my buddies. so i back off and let him do his thing.

couple days later he heads back to base so now it's just me, her, and my friend that introduced us hanging out. at this point i've put it out of my mind trying to get with her knowing my buddy's interested but she's being very flirtatious with me. i think nothing of it at the time.

fast forward to this weekend. i text her just saying hi since i was in town. we text back and forth for a little bit and after making me promise not to tell him, she asks me how albert (my friend that she hit it off with) is with girls. im a little confused and hesitant to answer so i ask why she wants to know.

she basically goes on to tell me that he's a bit needy even though they're not together. he constantly texts or calls her and if she doesnt answer right away he gets worried. he came up to visit her last weekend and she told him they wouldnt be hugging or kissing because they were around her family and he got upset. she asks for my advice but i dont want to say anything to cockblock him. then again i dont think i need to say anything. i ask her if she's still interested in him and she says not anymore because the needy thing is a big turnoff. but she's willing to give it some time. at the same time i get the feeling she's giving me an opening to move in.

so my dilemma is move in and see where i can go with this or back off and let my buddy keep making an ass of himself eventually driving her off for good...then move in. i just dont want him to think i somehow had something to do with them not getting together if he sees us together later on.

he's stationed in 29 palms with me but in a different unit. he just got back from his second iraq deployment last month. we have the same job so we can relate to the same bullshit. we really only hang out on the weekends but when we do we're usually getting shitfaced together. :o
