Default free air 6x9 subwoofers

I'm looking for a pair of 6x9 free air subwoofers. Do any of you know of any companies that make these? I know Kicker used to but I'm not sure if they still do.

I have a pair of Kicker Free-air subs in the rear deck. Check ebay and possibly www.ubid.com (that's where I bought mine brand new). Kicker is the only company I know of that makes free air subs.

Do they hit hard? Do you have an amp connected to them? I was thinking about getting a set of 6x9 subwoofers instead of a sub to save weight and to prevent theft again.

The only thing I've found so far are these:

The price seems high. Where did you purchase yours?

They hit alright.... Nothing that's gonna shake or rattle your car. I like them because of what you said - weight savings and they do sound pretty good. they are also getting 300 watts (so 150 a piece).

I bought mine from ubid last year. They were brand new and it think they are both $110 or $120 shipped - somewhere around there. I had the older 1st gen 6x9 free airs before and sold them a while back when I replaced them with the newer ones (lie the ones in the yahoo auction).

That yahoo auction is crap and I would never trust it. Just keep checing the 2 places I said.

ok, thanks for the help.

I can't find the Kicker free air 6x9's anywhere, but I did find these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3292

but for $39, they can't be all that good.
