Default Check Engine light indicator on - need help

The Check Engine light indicator in my 99 Honda Accord came on about 3 weeks ago and it never went off. Any suggestions why or what may cause the Check Engine light to come on???

No, I've checked that also, according to the Honda manual.

Default How to Turn off Check Engineer Light

If your Honda "Check Engine Light" comes on around 70,000 miles and your oil level and temperature are normal, and the car runs smoothly, try disconnecting the battery terminal and conncect it back again.

The "Check Engine Light" should turn off.

why don't you read the code with the paper clip trick, or go to autozone and have them pull the code so you can find out what is going on?

the paperclip trick doesn't work on the newer cars...the OBDII cars specifically.

yeah it does, I've done it quite a few times already. I can post the link if you want to try it yourself. jschmid has a write up over on www.honduh.com on how to pull the code for 6th gen accords. its in the 6th gen section and its listed as a sticky.
