Offset
This has probably been asked a million times, but I believe the offset on the RL is 45 and I wanted to know if its possible to put a 40 offset wheel on with a spacer and not have any problems. The wheel by the way would be a 18x7.5 and I dont plan on dropping the car....Key word is "PLAN".
Thanks/

I have a 96 RL and have 235/40/18's on it with a drop, so yeah, I think you'll be allright, by the way, it doesn't rub at all. Hell, I was running 245/35/19's on it with a drop and never felt a rub either, GOOD LUCK!!

A 40 offset on a 7.5" wheel will stick out a tiny bit. If you do lower it anything less then a 45 offset on a 7.5 you need to trim the rear fender lip. I don't understand why you would put a spacer on the wheel it will bring it out more.

Spacers
How reliable are the spacers? I am getting my tires from Discount Tires and they wont put the wheels on with the spacers from the shop I am getting the wheels from. They are a the C2 Evos. The offset on the wheels is a 42 and they are including a 3mm spacer to go on the wheel.....

Why are you putting a spacer on the wheel? You will be running a 39 offset which definetly will not tuck? I don't understand you won't have any problems rubbing on the inside so why do you want to pop them out?
