bro.. your question is too damn vague.. we need more info.

What's your budget, do you want BOOOM BOOOM SPL or exquisite SQ in your sound system, do you wanna do major modification to your car with kicks, pods, custom trunk ..

Do you want a better frontstage, some rear fill and single woofer?
Or all around good quality coax's and single woofer
Or all out front stage, no rear fill and crazy bass.. etc..

Who will install this?

How many woofer's do you want in your trunk, will you be creating a sub box or buying pre fab.

Answer these questions and then we can start building you a system close to your budget.. otherwise.. it's like asking what's the best looking girl on the net.... :slap:

Are you going to hook your subs up to the factory Honda system, or you plan on changing that as well?

But if I were spending $500 all on the trunk, I think I'd get 2 jl 12w3v2 and hook them up to a 600 or 1200 jbl amp.

For $500? Good luck with that.

If you wanna get subs into the trunk, you need to buy a head unit with RCA outputs, an amp, subs, sub box, and all the wiring. I don't know how you can do that for $500 unless you put in all crap like Pyramid. Plus installation if you have someone else do that.

Expect to pay $1000 for a decent setup.

:slap: dont scare him by saying stupid crap like that...

bro lemme set you up with a nice sounding sub system that wont break your bank account and with sound you will love.

(A) Sub enclosure... subzone 0.85 12inch box around $65 thezeb.com
(B) Amp: us acoustics 2 channel USX2150 400watts bridged $160 thezeb.com

(C) Sub: elemental design 12 inch e12K about $135
edesignaudio.com

Install you have about $140 left for installation shop around for shops and compare install prices (labor plus amp kit & wires)

Sub,amp and box = around $360.

I myself have a E12K with a JL Audio 250/1 watt mono amp with a subzone 1.2 cube enclosure... the sound is very very nice.

Hope this helped ...

I'm not trying to scare anyone away, try reading his post, it helps.

What he wanted according to his post is 'some' subs which refers to more than 1. Pull that off for less than 500 and don't underpower those subs.

Granted you could probably do it for under $1000, but for $500? I doubt that. Unless he only wants one sub.

he doesnt know what he wants that's why he's just askin how manu subwoofers are thoertically possible in the trunk.... he didnt say he wanted multiple woofers...

a single woofer given enough wattage with the right enclosure might just satisfy his thirst for bass.... it's his call

so for $500 I dont see much of a problem.. and even with 2 woofers and a more powerful us acoustics amp it should run more than $200 more...
