Default FWD Honda/Acura: DIY Tire Rotation

1) Jack up the car on four Jackstands or on just one side of the car.
- Set the parking brake and put the car in gear.
- Jack up the car using a floor jack placed under the front or rear tow hooks
- Place the jack stands under the car. Your car's owner's manual may have illustrations indicating safe jack stand positioning.
- Lower the jack slowly until the car is resting on the jack stands.
- Note that if you don't have a floor jack, you can use the tire-changing jack by raising up one side of the car at a time, as you would if changing a tire, and placing a jack stand first on one side, then lowering and removing the jack, then repeating on the other side.
- Lean on the bumper and shake the car: If the jack stands aren't positioned properly, you want to find out now - not when you're under the car.
2) Remove the front left and rear left tires.
3) Put the back tire on the front, and the front on the rear.
4) Remove the front right and right rear tires
5) Put the back tire on the front and the front tire on the back.
6) Lower the car off the jack stands one wheel at a time.
7) Torque all wheels to their proper torque. This may be found in your owners manual.

This rotation schema is for tires that are directional. (can only rotate in one direction) It's different for "normal" tires.

Do you own an owners manual?

That's one place he could look. Since I know about Integras, I know the answer. The jacking points should be behind the front wheel. Use the pinch weldh:

98CoupeV6's method is good because you can do all the work without having to constantly raise and lower the car. Another method, if you're like me and have 2 jacks and only 1 pair of jackstands would be to simply lift one side only. First raise either the front end or rear end on the left or right side using the reinforced jack point. Then raise the other end of the same side.

One thing I'd like to add to make things easier is to break the lug nuts loose while the car's tires are still on the ground. It's common knowledge but I thought I'd add it just in case someone's taking their wheels off for the first time.

Having hydraulic jacks also makes life a whole lot easier. I used to use the emergency jack but it takes a while to crank up and down and it really isn't meant for repeated use. You can get 15" lift height hydraulic jacks from Walmart or other places for like $15 anyway. Just make sure to never get under a car unless it's supported by jackstands.
