---------------------
- Make sure they are not made of paper and can withstand abuse of weather and car washes. (vinyl sticker are most common)
- Thoroughly clean the area where the sticker will be placed. DO NOT use harsh abrasive cleaners, especially rubbing alcohol, because it can eat at your car's clear coat.
- If you are putting on a windshield logo, make sure it isn't too big so that your wiper movement doesn't interfere.
- Slightly heat the area that the sticker will be placed with a hairdryer. This will insureit stick well.
- If you're working with a large sticker, you should spray a light mist of soapy water on the adhesive backing and the area where it is to be placed. Like window tinting, the mixture will allow you to move the large decal around and to smooth out any crinkles.
- When waxing your car, DO NOT wax your decals. It will drastically fade and crack them overtime.
- When drying off or removing the wax from your car, be real careful when running the cloth or chamois over the decal area. The cloth in most cases can snag on the corners of your decal. This can ruin the adhesive while leaving fine strands of fiber from the cloth all over every corner of your decal.
- To prevent the above from happening, you should usually round off the corners of your decal before putting it on.
