since no thread has been started about this i thought i should. I think Hillary was a good pick for sec of state. She is a recognized faced in the global forum and will probably bring a good message to the rest of the world. I also think its smart to keep robert gates for defense secretary, even thought obama might not agree with the way he has run things its very smart not to change a person in that position during 2 wars. Im surprised none of the obama haters have commented on his picks, not socialist enough for them?

If you take a trip outside of the US, you will find that the Clintons are nearly universally respected. Having her as Secretary of State is about as politically strong, internationally, as having Clinton be president. He gets all of her clout where he could use it most. Smart move.

i think obama is smart to go against the campaign he was running on and appointing people with experience to help obama
