Default OEM Exhaust Question???

hey i just acquired a free 98-01 gsr oem catback exhaust with cat still attached.....will it bolt up to my 95 ls? if not what mods are necessary to make it work?

i always forget what fits what...but the main difference will be the length of the B-pipe where it meets the cat. theres a difference between the 98-99 and the 00-01 GSR exhausts too if i'm not mistaken.

i just found out its from a 01 gsr....i know the cat is different but the rest i cant tell..might have to just put it on and see.

well then it wont fit for sure. i have a 97 GS with a 01 GSR exhaust and a lot of chopping was needed but the best way to know for sure is to just bring it to an exhaust place and let them work it out for u

i used to have a 00 ITR muffler hooked up to a 5zigen exhaust piping on my old 94 rs sedan h:


the muffler didnt fit perfectly :hs:

It won't bolt up. Fabrication is needed. No biggie. A cut here, a weld there and a chop there usually does the trick.

yeah but the question is is worth paying someone to do that or to buy a new catback like the greddy spt. Either way i have to buy a new cat.

That sort of job should run you no more than 50 bucks at an independent muffler shop.

the exhaust bolted right on...from the cat to the muffler with no fabrication...thx for the help...

From the cat forward is where things are different. Glad it was a bolt on affair, that always makes thing easy!
