I cleaned mine with alcohol, then smooth sanded it.... put some good primer on it, painted it my Body color, then finished off with ALOT of clear coats. They've lasted 3 winters so far with no problems.

hmm ok.. what should i use to sand? i used just whatever sand paper i could find around my house when i did my heat shield.. but after sanding it and cleaning it, the paint liked to seperate in spots and even though its 1500 degree paint its been chipping on some places... thx

i used some high temp flat black paint i had lying around, didnt rough it up or anything, just a few light coats and it looked like new
just remember to take the wiper arms off first
