Default B16A + ITR Tranny + 92 Civic

I don't know much about this but since Integras have a cable clutch would a Type R tranny work with a EG Civic since the clutch is hydro?

Also what would the ITR tranny be like compared to the stock B16A?

Thanks!

Not all Integras were cable tranny, but if you must have a hydro tranny then you can always buy them converters from cable-hydro.

Both ITR and B16A trannies are short geared, but obviously the ITR is more sought after since it does have a LSD. I'd get B16A for the money.

Yea, everyone wants a type R. Why would you want a cable tranny?

the trannys are a direct swap..both trannys should be hydro if if its in a 92 civic unless you changed the tranny to a cable tranny. even then there still swapable. theres minute difference in the trannys. gear and fd wise there both identical, if anyhting the fd is lower in the b16 tranny, also lsd as you know and the diff housing is also larger on the s80 series trannys.

There is no such thing as a cable ITR tranny. 94-up Integras have hydro clutches. The ITR tranny has an OEM helical LSD, as well as shorter gearing than a B16A tranny. ITR trannies are available in 4.40 and 4.785 FD's. The 4.40 is the 96 spec tranny and the 4.785 is the 98 spec tranny. The 4.785 FD tranny will accellerate faster than the 4.40.

The USDM ITR tranny has the same gearing as the JDM/USDM B16A tranny, except you'll get an LSD...now a 98- JDM ITR tranny will give you a 4.785 FD, this is for quicker acceleration.

You beat me to it. That's exactly right.

All Bseries trannies will bolt to Bseries blocks.
