B16A swap choice, need help
ok guys, I have a 94 Civic EX, the car is torn down waiting for the new engine. What i need to know is which B16A i need. The SIR1 or the SIR2, I believe the SIR1 was on the JDM CRXs while the SIR2 was on the JDM civics. The issue for me is price and compatability. Can i put the SIR1 in without major wiring changes or what? I would prefer to go with this motor since it is much cheaper.
just need to know which one to go with, then i am off to get it in the car in the next couple of months.
Thanks guys
Doug

Bwahha, I used to think B20 was where it's at, until I rode in one, it's just like an LS w/ more bottom, much over an 1/8 it starts running out of steam, ANY kinda highway pull it gets handled. B16A HB run the same if not better times than the B20Z w/ GSR tranny HBs.
I actually have a 1st gen B16A in my 98 Teg, unless you know what your doing w/ swaps, just buy a B16A 2nd gen, a lot less headache and stress. Good luck.
