Bump noise from the back
I got a question for you guys, maybe someone can help...
When I pull into my driveway that has a somewhat steep angle to it, I hear a knock coming from the rear of the car, almost like something hitting metal. I believe my shocks are a little on the soft side, so that may be causing it...
But if anyone has any ideas what it could be, please let me know...I have a 97 DX coupe - as far as I know, nothing in the suspension has ever been replaced...
Also, if I were to put in a set of 200Si struts, would this clear up the problem (and will they fit?) thanks again for any assistance...

Still here... sorta...
The struts should fit, but it's not like the Si struts are something special. They're the same as all of the 6th gen Civic struts as far as I know.
It sounds like you're having a strut problem. Is there fluid coming out of that strut at all? That's a tell-tale sign that it's bad. Sound's like you're bottoming out the strut... jmo.

Ah, I see...as far as I can tell, there's nothing leaking out of them, they're just old lol
So if I can get the Si replacements, they'll fit and solve the issue? I'm not looking to upgrade just yet, but I have a lead on getting the Si struts cheap...

No, not at all...all stock all around, with the exception of new rotors/pads and an intake...
I'm still starting out, but I want to make the car up to specs before I start doing anything else...right now, the bump noise has me worried...I don't need to replace anything more than I have to, and if I can find a cheap alternative till the summer or longer, that would be great...
