Ok don't flame me I just don't know much about this so I have to start off somewhere...

I have a 2 to 3 finger gap on the front tires, and about a 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 finger gap in the rear tires (but that's because of the weight of the subs).

I want to drop my car, but only a little, I don't want to slam it. The problem is is that if I have a full load on my car the rear tires are very close to rubbing as it is (17" rims) so if I drop it will it rub a lot more? I don't want to flare out the fenders or whatever you do so the tires don't rub, but is that my only option? And how is the ride quality with the drop? And do they eat up the tires a lot faster and how much faster since the car has a lower center of gravity?

drop a h22 motor,..this will lower your front and also kick some racers ass on the drag strip,...if you do lower you car and dont want to eat up your tires then a camber kit is what you need,...suspension is really important,...going with a cheap setup will give you a cheap ride sorta speak,...going with a fairly expensive setup will give you a better ride depending on the setup you choose

what sub setup do you have in your trunk? thats a lot of weight in the back. i had a 75-80lbs setup in my teg, and i couldnt tell the rear was lower.

you can always go with adjustable springs. and then roll your fenders.

2 10's in a box... pretty simple... its not that heavy though, when I got it it was a while back (like 2 years ago) when I was a toothpick and I lifted it up by myself so it couldn't have been very heavy.

The thing is I don't want to roll the fenders.

You could go with a coilover sleeve kit( full coilovers would be better) .That way you could dial in how the car sits.You may want to put the higher spring rate in the rear to offset the extra weight in the rear.

Hey you guys I'm sorry about the false information. I had people in my car last nite and I that's when I measured the wheel gap when everyone got out of the car. ::Blonde moment::

I measured the car the morning since it sat all nite:

I have a 3 1/2 finger wheel gap all the way around.

I want to have about a 1 1/2 finger wheel gap but I don't want to roll the fenders or anything like that.

Suggestions?

hehe told you man....subs in a box arent THAT heavy.

well, 1.5 finger gap isnt going to do much, but when there are passsengers in the rear, its gonna be problems. i still say get adjustables so you will be able to get the height you want. maybe get some stiff springs so they wont sag that much under weight? i dunno if that would work...:dunno:

what kind of system do you have that drops the back so much. You would need over 100 lbs. I had 3 quad voice coil 12"s with 2000 watt amp running to each sub and 2 batteries, and it didnt' drop the rear that much.

No I had a blonde moment and measured it last nite right after everyone got out of my car. I sat all nite and I measured it this morning and I have a 3.5 finger wheel gap all around.

the spring is actually on a perch. the perch is on a sleeve with threads, you can turn the perch to adjust the height of the whole setup.
