Default Question about Spark Plug Gap

if its improply gapped... what happens? I read in on thread that if the gap is too big... you get better gas mileage? is power less?.... etc. someone explain the concept... that would help me understand it

too small gap, too big... effects on mpg, hp, etc.

I go as far a gap without blowing it out.

if you are running FI don't you want your gap to be around .30?

It varies between plugs and plug temperature.
