Default What could cause this??

if I drive slow.. the car will pull to the right... but not like the typical unaligned car. It will pull to the right... straighten, pull, straighen... like a see saw. does that make sense? when u look at the steering wheel when i'm going slow it'll look like i'm turning the wheel quickly every half second then letting go...

also, when I stick it in reverse and don't touch the sterring, the steering wheel with turn really fast counterclockwise until it can't turn anymore.

i suspect its a tie rod worn out (cuz last time I got my alightment done, they said one was worn out)... any ideas?

ALSO how hard is it to replace a tie rod on my own and then taking it to get alighned?

I was going to say tie rod, then I noticed you mentioned it. So have at her!

Mine does the same thing, mostly when I brake though....

Once you do it, let me know how much the ends were. I know the install will be easy. You'll have to have a balljoint separator and you should measure exactly where your end sits right now so you can put the new one in in the same place (length). That way it's not all fawked up when you take it to get aligned.

alignment shop is 2 miles away .... but its an easy install?

how much for a ball joint separator

The pickel fork isn't very expensive mabey 12 to 15 dollars. make sure you get the right one, there is one for ball joints and tie rod ends.

EASY stuff. I did one in about 30 minutes including Jacking it up, throwing a jack stand under it, etc, etc. Just need some box wrenches, and the tie rob fork. I got my fork for about 10 bucks. The tie rod was about 30.
