replacing wheel bearings...
This is one of the only tasks I have left to do to a Honda... And yes, I need to do it. Any help would be awesome! Where to locate a bearing press, cost of rental, time to do it, etc. It's for a 5th gen....

wow, with all of the knowledge here, no one has done this? I'm on my third hub for this car since I bought it, and I've only put on about 600 miles. It sat without an engine for a long time. But still, why would it happen, and how do you replace just the bearings?

I did my passenger side wheel bearing. I took the a arm completely off, and took it to a machine shop and had them press in a new bearing. My bearing scourched up my hub so the new bearing wouldn't seat well. I had to buy a new hub too. It cost me $30 for labor, and parts which I was luckly able to get at cost.
I know you need a hydraulic press to put the bearing in. I don't know how much pressure and so forth. That was my passenger side, which I did in the summer. I hear an odd noise with the same symptons as before and I have a feeling it's time for me to do my driver side bearing. I'm probably gonna hit that up on Saturday. Anyways I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm gonna take that opportunity to remove my exhaust shields under the car for some more weight reduction. :bigok:

were your's noisy, or did they get all wobbly too? Mine, if you jack up the car, you can more the whole wheel a little, but it's all from the center of the hub. Not from ball joints or anything...
