Default exhausted - for 92 gsr

I read the posts in the forum about the exhaust. It was suggested to use Apexi WSII, but it seems that they dont make one for my car. I have difficulty finding an exhaust to fit my car except for the following:
So I have found an RS-R Exmag for $549 (+40 ship), is that a "good" price?
Also on ebay is a Tanabe T4029Z, complete catback system, for $440 +90 ship.

The alternative is to have a relatively stock muffler installed for about $250.

I do NOT want a loud system, but some performance would be nice.

I may also need to rebuild as it is nearing 200k, so I am wondering about staying stock, or building it up some.

Any help, suggestions, or references rebuilding a 92 GSR (1.7L) would be appreciated.
Thanks

yeah, any off-the-shelf catback is going to be around 500-600 bucks.

if a rebuild is around the corner, I would wait on the exhaust.

how do you know you need one? I would check things like oil consumption, cylinder compression, cylinder leakdown, etc and go from there.

RSR ExMag will be the quietest bolt-on cat-back you will find.

I highly recommend a Helms manual if you're thinking about rebuilding. It makes everything easier.

Default rebuild?

Thank you for the suggestions.
I am judging by oil consumption that she needs a rebuild. It leaks some oil from the gaskets too. Also assuming that since mileage is climbing to 200k I am assuming things like timing belt should be replaced soon.

Does the helms manual have like a list of things you should replace on a rebuild?
I have seen a few rebuild kits (gaskets) on ebay. But will probably need water pump, and timing belt. I am not sure about other things such as valves, head, block.
I mean, since I would have it all torn down shouldn't I just run the gambit?

Where is a good source for the Helms manual?

Anybody been this route? How much might I expect to spend?
Then there is the question: Do I change cam, add header, mods, that kind of thing?

Thanks for the help.

Vibrant Axle Back Exhaust is $287.43:

It can be found for less if you search.

Does the Vibrant Axle Back Exhaust packing material blow out?

I like to hear from those who have had this exhaust for a while.
