Default ? with Temp gauge

When im accelerating and i get to 3-3.5 k on my tach my temp gauge goes from the normal postion(about a 1/4 inch form middle) to Dead bottom what could it be?

I don't understand your question. Is your temp starting out normal, and then dropping under accellerartion? Or is it starting low, and then going up to normal under accerlleration?

It starts normal them drops under acceleration

sounds like it's losing power... may be bad wiring? that's pretty strange man. Maybe the gauge is going bad? Or even the sensor?

try using someone elses cluster if you can.. the gauge could have gone bad.

Heck, if you've got a bad gauge, you may as well get an EX cluster or Si cluster. EX is VERY easy to get from a junk yard and will cost less than the gauge alone from Honda.

I suggest you try the sensor too. It may have gone out.

It is winter, afterall. When you're sitting at idle, there's no air passing thru your radiator, so coolant will stay warmer. When you start moving, the radiator gets some air flow, and the coolant cools down. Of course, your thermostat should be holding the coolant in the engine until it raches about 80-90 degrees centigrade...

Right now i have a 92 VX cluster in my car.
