what did you guys do to replace the wriing harness/connector? i went out and bought an upgraded wiring harness but the shop says they charge $70 to install because they have to rewire to the battery. Isn't $70 too much to install a wiring harness? it looks like just plug and play to me. for those who bought a new wiring harness, how did you install it?
i also heard from a friend you can just goto a junkyard and cut off a connector and then replace the melted one by splicing it.
reason im asking this is because i wanna upgrade to hid's but hid's require both working connectors. (duh) but im currently running on projectors which only need one to work. thanks in advance.

go to autozone or whatever and ask for these things called pigtails
they are just the plugs then you can cut your old ones and splice on those, or you can go to the junkyard and cut them
as long as they work they can plug into the hid ballasts and work

I got a hi-watt kit from APC . But it worked, Just put the pink connectors on the battery, mounted the module, wired it up, not a big deal at all. Took like 30 min. Only bad thing was both of them were not usable, so I took one from a thing we had at our bike shop and put it on and hooked it up, they work perfectly fine now.

definitely don't pay to have it installed....its REALLY easy. You should be able to do it in 1/2 hour-hour....even if you don't have any experience in doing stuff like that. Just buy the kit and do it yourself.

the thing is, i already bought the kit long time ago before i got my projectors. i then asked the shop how much they charge and they said 70. so i just kept it because i got some projectors. they were nokya upgraded wiring harness.

umm well, the wiring harness i bought is from spw (used to be nokya) and all it is is a bulb socket with 3 wires connected to it in the back (red, green, black). the total length of the wires is only about 7 inches. where do i connect these 3 wires to?
when I look in my engine compartment at the stock wiring harness, it runs underneath the headlights to I dunno where. How do I disconnect the stock wiring harness and connect this ??!? I have no clue on what to do. There is no "pink" connector like you referred to to connect it to the positive terminal.
