bad syncro?

bad syncro?
i changed out my tranny fluid the other day, since then when i shift into 3rd it grins, not hard but it grins non the less. i cant recall it doing it b4 then. my clutch is also going bad, so will that have anything to do w/ it? any help is appriciated. thanks

I think a way u can check is that dont push in the clutch, while the car is on move the shifter in to 3rd like ur gonna to put it into gear but dont if its really rough when u do it the syncro bad but if its smooth then its good. I could be wrong, but its worth a try.

check your fluids and make sure they are at the correct levels. pump your clutch a few times too.

I assume that's straight motor oil? Motor oil can be used as a temporary substitute for MTF in manual Honda transaxles, but should be changed out for MTF as soon as possible. Motor oil lacks the conditioners that, amoung other things, keep synchros alive and well. Honda MTF is like $3 a quart, and you only need (less than)3 quarts every 30k miles or so. I would not skimp on MTF.
ok thats cool...i run buy honda some time this week. should be cheaper for me
