Default syntheitc oil?

I bought a 94 gsr with 6k miles on a rebuild, the last guy used regular valvoline, is it too late to switch to synthetic, or shouldn't i even bother?
Whats your opinion?
Thanks in advance
Matt

Some of my friends swear that synthetic is better but I cant see spending 5 bucks a quart. Its not too late but I dont think its worth it.

It's not too late to switch, just don't go back to conventional after the switch.

You can switch back and forth as many times as you want. A while back a Castrol Engineer created a thread regarding all the myths. I am sure if you do a search you will find it.

The most famous myth is that you will sprout a leak. If a leak is going to happen it is going to happen.

yeah its fine. especially when you consider that most modern "synthetic" oils use class 3 conventional oils as the base stock.
