1989 Legen
Hi everyone:
Has anyone actually replaced the timing belt on this year legend? I understand that it is the same engine as the Honda accord 1995 but I have never seen any write up on it or any manual that details its timing belt replacement. Many people have suggested using an impact wrench to loosen the crank pulley. This is near impossible without dropping the engine. Do I have to drop the engine to replace a timing belt? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

but there are no pics. the timing on these cars is very finicky, if the belt is off by even a couple of notches, you will bend valves and destroy the engine. shop around for mechanics, I got mine done for $350 or so, and many others have done the same, anything under $500 is a good price since its so labor intensive.
