Got my 949 Racing 6UL wheels mounted on my (dirty) car

The wheels finally came in. Tires had been sitting around for a couple weeks.

Front: 15x7.5" +34, 205/50-15 Hankook RS-2
Rear: 15x8" +36, 225/45-15 Hankook RS-2

Yeah yeah yeah my car's all dirty and it's too high off the ground.

You are correct sir, the interior is all blue and black color coordinated. Top is blue, seats are black leather around the outside with blue alcantara in the middle, carpet is blue, Nardi wheel is blue on the side spokes and at 3 and 9 on the rim, shift boot is blue, shift knob is blue on the sides black on the top/front/back. That's all the blue bits I can think of offhand....

100+ inches of snow this winter.

I haven't got around to the touch-up paint just yet. At some point down the road I'm going to have the car repainted and update to the '01-'05 headlamps and bumper.

I disagree x 238959082408306547632897325623! At least a standard system doesn't require a complete bypass/replacement if it starts "farting." Fuckin' Bose...

Anyway, I saw and read more about those wheels on miata.net. They look great.

It sounds halfway decent when it's not making Bose farts.

Fair enough. I think I'm just bitter because my system farts 24/7...

On topic, do the 225s affect normal acceleration much?

Accelration seems fine. The 15x8s still weigh <13 lbs so they're not really adding much extra weight if any at all. On the plus side with all the extra grip I can power out of turns much sooner and not worry about breaking the rears loose.

Although in the interest of full disclosure my main point of reference are the 195/55-15 Blizzak WS-60 snow tires on the stock rims that are now happily resting in my basement. It doesn't take all that much hoonery to break those loose, so anything even remotely grippy is bound to feel good in comparison.

I don't plan on dropping it ridiculously low. I want to keep as much suspension travel as possible while cleaning up that wheel gap.

Or I could pretend like I'm some kind of racer and have it corner weighted...
