Japanese Classic Car Show & One Or Two Hondas - Events
It's only as of late one would even think to consider a Honda a classic...or really any other Japanese car for that matter, at least in the U.S. anyways. But some do. In fact, the Japanese Classic Car Show Association (JCCS) has a set of guidelines that specifically tell would-be classic car owners whether or not their Japanese cars are in fact classics. Well, they're not exactly that hard and fast but when it comes to the group's annual classic car show held in Long Beach, Calif., there are a couple of points one's Honda must address. First, it has to be something that rolled off production lines pre-1985. Of course this excludes most Honda's we as enthusiasts care about and, by default, everything under the Acura banner. Apparently those who run the JCCS aren't the sticklers they'd otherwise have us believe them to be since we saw more than a couple first-generation Integras that, frankly, looked like they rolled off the dealer lot no more than a year or two ago. Of course, to enter one's ride into the midsized, 300-car meet that is the JCCS one must actually own something of Japanese heritage-sorry gramps, but you won't find any Model Ts, Packards or Cadillacs here, just unadulterated JDM rawness in its purest form
