I went on a test drive with a couple other people and the exhaust tone is amazing. The car seems well planted.

I was at the dealership today for service on my '07 Si sedan and they had one in the showroom. It was $32,000 after the $2500 "market availability" markup, which is too much IMO. Plus, I was surpised that the Mugen got much lower fuel economy than the Si without any real power gains.
I would love to have those wheels on my Si but they're way too expensive right now. They're ridiculously light though.

BTW, that Mugen that you posted pics of is missing the front lip spoiler in your pics.

Yeah it was right off the truck. I will try and get a pic of the front lip. The thing is that it works out that all dealerships get one. I have a feeling that Honda will make a Kit similar to the HFP one.
here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY7M_v2qWRU

How much did you actually pay for it?
I can be fairly certain you paid more than the 29,500 sticker. The regular Si cost about 23000 after market adjustment. I know when the EVO and R32 came out, they were like 35-40000. Seems like the Mugen Si would end up costing at least that much. Someone else said it's 32000, which can still be considered a good deal.
But is it really a bargain compared to the EVO? Or the upcoming STi? just asking...

First off you need to calm down with smilies.
![]() What i see is this car being a collectable. Seeing that there will only be 1000 made, its not going to be like the evo and sti ( ) where you see them around every corner.

Again..... the question remains... for us honda lovers, as my self. The car looks amazing and I bet its rides just as good as it looks, BUT is it really worth it??? Well for an everyday driver atleast??

power
isn't it the same 197 as the 'regular' Si?
anyway, the sticker price puts it in TSX territory the "market adjustment" puts it in TL territory and of course the STi and EVO competition They could've at least put in the S2000 engine or some variant maybe AWD and DSG too are the parts really worth 10k???? ![]() If it was $25000 it might be worth it and yes, I like smileys!!! ![]() : :

See that where I coming from, I could buy me the regular 4 door si, slap a turbo on it, spank a couple mazda 3, cobolts, and prob keep up with STIs and EVOs. Yea it might run 10 grand for the whole set up with gauges, turbo kit rev hard, comp. It will be more go than show, and i won't have to hear people, "Danm u pay an extra 10k for stickers, lips, rims, exgahust, and suspention. Wow and i still spanked you on the highway."

SCC said with the suspension, make it handle like a ITR vrs a GSR. So i guess u can look at it as a 4dr CTR. Now i hope that they bring the Mugen Fit

Is it true that some people are bidding like 60g's to get their hands on one of these. My manager wanted to get one and he said the sales director at Gwinnett place told him that the buyer was paying $60,000 for the Mugen SI.

I heard something like that, but it was way before they thought about bringing the car to the U.S. But I wouldnt doubt it. I might not know much about the car market but if that car 10-15 years from now could be worth something like a old school Datson or vett (stingray), then it might be ok to invest into. IMO.

it's still a ripoff

I think they should make a strippo version without sunroof, power windows, ac, etc. (like the type-r cars and also the EVO RS); then it will REALLY be lighter, and thus even better performance, and also cheaper. |

the Mugen Si isnt worth it
the only difference between the Mugen and the regular Si is jus the body parts. the performance is the same. they are selling for about 30,000 - 34,000. why buy that when you can get an evo or an sti? |

I agree 100% w/ you jonathankim1990. I love my Honda & Acura's but Honda has bumped their heads. For one I'd rather them had did this to the coupe because wasn't Si's only coupe's/hatches.
I'd rather pay that for a evo or sti. Besides, if they made around 230-240 hp then it might be worth paying 30-35K. |

yea, the mugen has 197 hp and 139 tq
Evo IX has 286 hp and 289 tq Sti has 300 hp and 300 tq so why pay the same for the mugen when yall can get the evo or the sti??

Like i said before, honda released the Mugen Accericories now. I looked them all up, and List for them is 12k, and Dealer list is just under 8k. Some things i found out, it has special Mugen brake pads on it ( $300 a pop) along with a short shifter ($150) and the microbraded brake lines ($150). So now people can pick and choose and make their own Mugen Civic. BTW the shift knobis $150.

Went to see one at a local dealer. They're charging 35k! Plus, I asked, they aren't numbered cars! How can a "collectible" car they only make 1000 of not be numbered? If this is (to me) the only real selling point the Mugen Si has, they pretty much messed that up.
