I have been a big fan of the fit since day one and am yet to pull the trigger on purchasing one, primarily because of my first dealer experience when I went to inquire but how about this 2009 Fit. I have seen a few chops surface on the net but this one appears to be clean and seems that it may be real.



Can anyone confirm details on the 09 Fit?

They are real. The fit has been in production for a while now in other countries, so an early update for North America has been jumping around since launch, and has been confirmed for a 2009MY launch, with some people speculating it may be more like an early 08.5 launch.

If you drive the car and like it I would suggest buying it. Just because a new model comes out doesn't mean that the old one doesn't perform or look the same as it always did. Theres just another option. On top of that the older Fit is well into it's run, meaning that nearly all kinks that would ever or have ever shown up have been taken care of. Not so with a brand new vehicle.

Jalopnik has reported that pic (and others) to be leaks from an embargoed press kit in advance of the Tokyo Motor Show.

I'd bank on the pics being legit at this point.
Frankly, I like what I see.

Leaked? There is a good chance they are real, since they are on Honda's JDM website.

They are real i saw them on autoblog they are surfacing all around the net. Im unsure if honda would bring the same one to america though with the fit is due for a remodel.

photo is real but keep in mind that particular photo was taken with a fisheye lens so it distorts the proportions of the car.

when i test drove the current one my friend was with me. he is 6'3" 225lbs and he fit fine. he actually had head room in the back seat.

We have a Fit, I'm 6'2 225 and it's fine. I regularly drive to L.A., 535 miles each way, without a problem. Full size people fit in the back seat...
