Thanks for the reply. May I ask, how often do you change your engine oil and its filter? Cheers.

Default best oil for 94

Hey if you are not using synthetic by now it is too late to change. You will do all sorts of engine damage if you change this late in the game. Just make sure you use the grade exactly as specified on your engine and change it and the filter religiously every 3000 miles or every 3 months which ever comes first. If you are using the same brand for the last 3 oil changes use the same brand just make sure if the engine says 10-30 then you use 10-30 if your engine says 10-40 then use 10-40 if the engine says 5-30 you know what to do by now. The above applys if you are not burning oil. There are additives you can use if you are already burning oil. By the 212,000 on a 94 is not high mileage its just beyond the breakin stage. I know people with hondas properly maintained with 600,000 miles on it and getting ready for a new car due to body rust and the engines are still good.

This is a really old thread. I dont know why the hell someone brings this stuff back. But just to voice an opinion. Valvoline maxlife non synthetic is best in old engines.
